Just Another Thursday

Ok, so it St. Patricks Day. I usually wake up kinda annoyed that people run around calling themselves Irish when really they were born here in the good 'ol U.S. of A. I know, I know...it's about their ancestors...really? Cuz you only seem to care about it one day a year. I think it's just a great excuse to claim all things green and eat corned beef and cabbage. I'll have to admit I wanted to run to the store and at least snag a dougnut with green icing for Jennifer but let's be real. I don't have the time and it's just another Thursday. Add to it my lack of sleep, a house I haven't bothered to clean in more than a week, the cram week of homework and projects, an upcoming trip to Spokane (6 hrs away) this weekend, a job, bills to pay and soccer practice more than an hour away tonight and who has got time to even run to the store and buy corned beef and cabbage, yet alone cook it and sit down and eat it. I thought about trying to cram it in but I just can't and really the leftovers will just get thrown away. I wore the green and that about as far as it's going to go in my house...and I only did that so I don't have to kick anyone that decided to pinch me cuz they don't see my green. Obviously the lack of sleep has made me grumpy but I REALLY hate being pinched or hit in the head. It sends me from zero to I'm going to kill you mode in a split second. Oh my other "donation" of participation came today when my friend Mary called me and "wondered" if the leprechans had been to Bryn's house since they came to her house and made a mess but left some candy behind. Bryn said it was her best day ever. How could I not participate. Thank you Mary for giving me a reason to cheer up about the day. The twins were all decked out in green too so we undertook the big task of loading them up and driving into town to have coffee with Gretchen. Thank you Gretchen for spending time with us on your day off! Now they are resting and my day here is almost over...time to head home and onto "job" #2...which I love! Hugs from my girl. Gotta boogie!
